Job Overview

This is a critical role that entails collaborating with diverse teams to address complex business issues. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing timely advisory support and partnering with other functions to drive business growth.

The successful professional will work closely with client-serving engagement teams to maximize the use of available tools and manage projects with external clients across various regions. This role combines on-demand financial advisory support via multiple channels with proactive outreach based on financial metrics and exception reporting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with in-depth knowledge of end-to-end systems, processes, and policies to contribute to the wider Service Line finance team and enhance financial performance.

Main Responsibilities

• Regularly collaborate with the regional service line team to oversee analytics processes and identify engagement teams requiring outreach from the SL Mercury Business Advisor.
• Provide guidance on local policy and best practices.
• Facilitate training for client-serving teams on Mercury and effective financial management practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues across borders, service lines, and industries, leveraging best practices.
• Coach and problem-solve with more junior Mercury Business Advisors to develop their skills through shadowing, advising, and informal training.
• Review open items in the ticketing system (ServiceNow), prioritize follow-up activities, and schedule engagement team meetings for the week.
• At the Senior Associate rank, regularly collaborate with the regional service line team to conduct oversight by analytics processes and manage conversations with that group.

Servicing Client Needs

• Review pricing plans and advise on service line GDS leverage targets.
• Ensure engagement teams are prepared for client negotiations from a financial perspective.
• Advise on selecting the correct client entity for opportunities and explain downstream impacts of Mercury user choices.
• Provide instruction on estimate-to-complete (ETC) processes and related financial impacts.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and proactively seek improvements.
• Ensure the team delivers high-quality service and counsel staff in self-development planning.

Analytical and Decision-Making Skills

• Use strong analytical skills to identify partners/engagement teams needing outreach and maintain strong relationships with the regional SL team to tailor approaches.
• Make timely, accurate decisions to ensure responses are provided on a one-stop basis where possible; escalate when necessary to the appropriate functional expert.
• Guide new users with empathy and soft skills to achieve the best outcomes for end users.
• Prepare discussions for client server portfolios by leveraging system and finance expertise and know when to involve other functional experts.
