The role of a Relationship Officer is to establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their unique financial needs and goals. This position involves fostering meaningful connections between the bank and its customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement sales/service plans to achieve growth objectives by agreeing micro-level delivery plans with Business Managers/Relationship Managers.
  • Sell products by establishing customer relationships and following defined SOPs.
  • Achieve sales targets in assigned areas with best ethics and moral practices.
  • Ensure target achievement through genuine sales, avoiding family loaning and activist base lending.
  • Make business profitable through sales of loans and enhancement of customer numbers.
  • Market company products and develop strategies accordingly.
  • Persuasion and negotiation skills are essential for this role.
  • Identify business opportunities by evaluating prospects and industry position.
  • Evaluate customer profiles using the five C's of credit.
  • Communicate terms and conditions of products offered to customers.
  • Conduct physical verification of prospective clients to ensure on-track performance.
  • Collect loans timely and ensure 100% collections by communicating with clients.
  • Handle customer legal documents carefully to avoid misuse.
  • Guide customers to deposit loan repayments at cash counters only.
  • Avoid cash handling while performing RO functions.
  • Prepare weekly field activity planners and review deviations with Line Managers.
  • Hold Monthly/Quarterly meetings with customers as per product programs.
  • Book loans strictly in compliance with bank policies and standards.
  • Continuously review product knowledge and recommend improvements through client feedback.
  • Conduct market assessments to identify selling possibilities and new markets.
  • Meet internal service standards and ensure no customer complaints.
