Pursue a Career in Higher Education and Research

Open Positions:
  • Professor (BPS-21)
    • Requirements:
      • A PhD in a relevant field from a recognized institution is required.
      • Three years of teaching/research experience at a recognized university or postgraduate institution, or 12 years of post-PhD teaching/research experience are necessary.
      • 15 research publications (at least 5 in the last 5 years) in journals recognized by HEC are expected.
    • Criteria for Tenure Track System (TTS):
      • A PhD from a recognized institution in the relevant field is required.
      • Eleven years of post-PhD experience with a minimum of seven years post-PhD experience, and 12 years prior to PhD experience in teaching, research, or professional experience are needed.
  • Assistant Professor (BPS-19)
    • Requirements:
      • An RN, RM with Post RN, MSN/MIPH/MPH qualification is necessary.
      • Three to five years of teaching and administration experience are preferred.
      • Minimum of two publications in recognized Nursing/Health Sciences journals (at least one in the last two years) are expected.
      • A valid PNC License is required.
  • Lecturer
    • Requirements:
      • An RN, RM with MSN/MSPH/MPH qualification is necessary.
      • Three to five years of teaching and administration experience are preferred.
      • Minimum of three publications in recognized Nursing/Health Sciences journals (at least one in the last two years) are expected.
      • A valid PNC License is required.
      • An Equivalence Certificate from HEC or PNC is needed.
      • If a degree has not been issued, a certificate/notification signed by the Controller of Examination of the awarding university may be accepted.
