Key Responsibilities - Overall
  • Actively participate in site health, safety, environment, quality, and sustainability activities.
  • Use statistical analysis and business excellence project management processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Investigate process failures, develop solutions for non-conforming products, and implement improvement plans.
  • Understand and improve manufacturing strategy and contribute to site development planning based on current capabilities.
  • Adept at adopting successful ideas from external sources and designing improved systems to meet business needs.
  • Utilize integrated asset management programs within lean operating principles, including Work Management, Tactics, Hydrocarbon Management, Condition Monitoring, Defect Elimination, Operate for Reliability, Core Competencies, and Metrics.
  • Maximize plant and equipment effectiveness using data analysis and problem-solving methodologies to achieve optimal life cycle costs.
  • Analyze losses and prioritize opportunities for improvement using charts and graphs.
  • Optimize production schedules working with stakeholders within planning, procurement, logistics, and sourcing.
  • Improve material efficiencies through analysis and optimization.
  • Deliver key projects meeting various business needs, involving defining requirements, preparing plans, allocating resources, and implementing projects according to project management methods and techniques.
Key Responsibilities as Process and Project Engineer
  • Interface with offsite functions like R&D/marketing and central engineering for industrializing new products, raw materials, and recipe changes, ensuring controlled and managed changes on site.
  • Provide expertise for onsite operations group during process-related troubleshooting issues.
  • Execute process studies, contribute to pre-projects, perform initial project scoping, and business case development for capital projects (except minor projects < $500k).
  • Play a major role in commissioning, start-up, and training for capital projects, owning the technology for the site.
  • Stay informed about relevant technology, company news, and current SHE standards, identifying pertinent information for use.
  • Contribute to site improvements and continuous improvement / ALPS projects.
  • Manage manufacturing-related NPI activity coordination if applicable.
  • Familiar with and comply with corporate, site, and laboratory policies/procedures regarding personal conduct, HSE, and Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs standards.
Experience & Competencies
  • Fresh graduate with a positive attitude, holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in any engineering discipline.
  • High initiative and leadership in student organizations/extracurricular activities.
  • Proficient in English, universally understood across other countries.
  • Fluent in own local language.
  • High learning agility and adaptability.
  • Willing to learn and experience different functions/knowledge, open and proactive to share and exchange.
  • Emotional Quotient (EQ), healthy/polite challenge of ideas, confidence.
  • Excellent communication skills and inquisitive nature.
  • Ability to think on his/her feet and influence work as part of a team.
