Cloud Data Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Data Engineer to join our data infrastructure team.

This role is responsible for all aspects of data collection and ingestion pipeline management. The ideal candidate will have experience with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments, proficiency in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts, and professional experience with at least one major Cloud Provider.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for finding new sources of audio data, operating and extending cloud infrastructure, and collaborating closely with scientists to improve data quality and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Ingestion Pipeline Management: Find new sources of audio data and bring it into our ingestion pipeline
  • Cloud Infrastructure Operations: Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for our ingestion pipeline
  • Data Quality Improvement: Collaborate with our Scientists to improve data quality and reduce costs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/Master's/Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of industry experience in software development
  • Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments
  • Proficiency in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts
  • Professional experience with at least one major Cloud Provider
