The Merchandiser/Development Manager – Safety Apparel (Workwear) role is a key position within our organization, responsible for leading the development of innovative and high-performance workwear products.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Product Development & Innovation: This individual will lead the research and development of new workwear designs, ensuring functionality, durability, and compliance with industry safety standards. They will also identify and evaluate new fabrics, trims, and finishing techniques to enhance product performance.
  2. Technical Expertise & Material Research: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in textile engineering, material science, and garment manufacturing processes. They will stay updated on advancements in textile technology, smart fabrics, and protective workwear solutions.
  3. Process Improvement & Quality Assurance: This role involves developing and implementing best practices for improving product performance and efficiency. The individual will ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO, EN, ASTM, and other relevant safety regulations.
  4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: The successful candidate will liaise with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers to source and test new materials. They will partner with marketing and sales teams to align product development with market demands and customer needs.
  5. Project Management & Documentation: Overseeing R&D projects from concept to commercialization, this individual will ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency. They will maintain technical documentation, research reports, and product specifications.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Textile Engineering, Material Science, Fashion Technology, or a related field. They should have 5+ years of experience in research and development, preferably in workwear or protective clothing.
