Job Title: Tax Professional

We are seeking a skilled Tax Professional to join our team. As a key member of this team, you will provide tailored advice to clients, leveraging your technical skills and practical experience.

Your responsibilities will include identifying risk areas and planning opportunities for indirect taxes throughout the tax life cycle. You will advise clients on VAT treatment of new and complex transactions and help resolve classification or other disputes with authorities.

To succeed in this role, you must be able to build strong client relationships and communicate effectively in written and oral English. You should also be able to identify areas of risk, conduct effective reviews, and know when to refer upwards.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in economics, finance, tax, or accounting, along with at least two years of relevant experience as an Indirect Tax professional. Experience working for a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred, but we will consider candidates from law firms or with relevant industry experience.

Candidates with customs duty advisory experience are preferable, but we will also consider those with VAT/GST advisory experience. Ideally, you will have experience working in multicultural teams, strong organizational, project management, and analytical skills, a strong drive to excel professionally, and the ability to guide and motivate others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a worldwide network of professional advisors to deliver cross-border transaction expertise.
  • Assist in preparing reports and schedules for clients and other parties.
  • Develop productive working relationships with client personnel and internal teams.
  • Become knowledgeable about Customs Law and its application across countries.
  • Engage with colleagues in overseas offices to deliver VAT advice for global jurisdictions.
Requirements:
  • A degree in economics, finance, tax, or accounting.
  • At least two years of relevant experience as an Indirect Tax professional.
  • Big 4 accounting firm experience is preferred.
  • Customs duty advisory experience is preferable.
