Linux/Windows Cloud Support Engineer - Remote

Job Description:

As a cloud support engineer, you will deliver exceptional customer support to our growing client list. With a strong background in Linux-based servers and virtualization, your primary responsibilities will include deploying, automating, supporting, and troubleshooting services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver top-notch customer service via email/helpdesk and live chat
  • Deploy and automate cloud services using technical expertise and industry knowledge
  • Migrate applications to our cloud platform, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruptions
  • Build and support AWS cloud environments, leveraging expertise in cloud architecture and deployment
  • Write and update documentation, including playbooks, to ensure consistent knowledge sharing and best practices
  • Provide regular reports on maintenance and upgrade activities, highlighting areas of improvement and opportunities for growth
Requirements:
  • Experience as a hosting support specialist or similar role, with a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service
  • Technical awareness and ability to quickly understand new technologies, with a focus on cloud computing and virtualization
  • Experience with the WordPress/Magento stack (PHP, MySQL), with a strong understanding of web development principles and best practices
  • For remote workers: quiet working environment free of distractions and reliable high-speed internet connection
Bonus Skills:
  • Experience writing Bash, Python, and Ansible scripts, with a focus on automation and DevOps
  • Experience with AWS, including cloud architecture, deployment, and management
  • Experience with security and penetration testing, with a focus on cloud security and compliance
