Job Summary

The post of Senior Groundwater Management Specialist is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on sustainable agriculture and water management in Pakistan.

This role requires a highly skilled professional with expertise in hydrogeology, groundwater management, and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will work closely with national and provincial stakeholders to develop and implement effective aquifer management plans, ensuring the long-term sustainability of agricultural production and rural livelihoods.

About the Project

The project aims to transform the Indus Basin into a climate-resilient agriculture and water management system. To achieve this goal, the project will develop the capacity of farmers, communities, and government agencies to adopt sustainable agriculture practices and manage water resources efficiently.

The Specialist will be responsible for organizing meetings, workshops, and training sessions to engage local stakeholders and promote participatory aquifer monitoring and management. They will also contribute to the development of Aquifer Management Plans for four districts in collaboration with national and international consultants.
