Senior Unity Developer Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Unity Developer to collaborate with our team of designers and artists in creating engaging, high-quality games and interactive experiences using the Unity 3D game engine.

Responsibilities:

  1. Game Mechanics Implementation: Collaborate with designers and artists to implement game mechanics and features using C# and Unity3D.
  2. Code Optimization: Create and maintain code libraries and tools to enhance development efficiency.
  3. Performance Optimization: Optimize game performance and memory usage for mobile and desktop platforms.
  4. Debugging and Troubleshooting: Debug and troubleshoot issues in the game development pipeline.
  5. Staying Updated: Stay updated with new features and updates in Unity3D and related technologies.
  6. Team Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  7. Code Review and Best Practices: Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for Unity development.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  2. C# Programming Skills: Strong programming skills in C# and object-oriented programming principles.
  3. Unity Engine Familiarity: Familiarity with Unity3D game engine and its core features, such as scene management, asset import, and animation.
  4. Version Control Experience: Experience with version control systems, such as Git or SVN.
  5. Problem-Solving and Debugging Skills: Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  6. Communication and Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  7. Passion for Gaming and Interactive Media: Passion for gaming and interactive media.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Excellent C# Skills: Excellent C#, OOP, and Component-based programming skills.
  2. Exceptional Code Design Skills: Exceptional code design and architecture skills with ability to create re-usable and scalable software.
  3. Leadership Experience: Leading medium size teams and creating environment and processes for their Code department to function as a high-performance team.
  4. Strong Understanding of Game Design Principles: Strong understanding of game design principles, including user interface design, player progression, and gamification mechanics.
  5. Agile Methodologies Experience: Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and networking and multiplayer game development.
  6. Data Exchange Experience: Experience exchanging data between Unity and an external service.
