Supplier Quality Engineer Job Summary

The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for managing the quality performance of assigned suppliers. This includes maintaining quality management systems and meeting quality metrics. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with internal and external customers to ensure that supplier quality meets Medline's quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of suppliers and act as the primary point of contact between suppliers and corporate QA and Shanghai Office QA.
  • Monitor suppliers' maintenance of QMS through vigilant audits, focusing on P&PC and quality control.
  • Support suppliers in developing their own master process validation plans and monitor execution progress.
  • Coordinate and manage non-conformities with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on quality issues, ensuring timely corrective action implementation and contributing to supplier quality improvement programs.
  • Work with suppliers on CAPA follow-ups resulting from QSR and SA audits.
  • Track suppliers' overall capacity and volume purchased.
  • Contribute to establishing and maintaining supplier ratings within the broader Quality Organization.
  • Coordinate suppliers' change requests from initiation to completion, including standardizing initiation, reviewing change requests for impact on product quality and QMS, and communicating progress.
  • Transition QA/QC knowledge from QE to SQE upon supplier approval for mass production, ensuring document transfer, holding pre-production meetings, training QCs and production personnel, etc.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness in supplier quality engineering and management programs.
