As a key member of our project development team, the Electrical Design Engineer I plays a pivotal role in shaping the proposal and design phase of projects. This encompasses overseeing all aspects of Solar PV systems, including racking, equipment foundations and pads, fencing, and site construction support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing Solar PV basis of design, encompassing module selection, string sizing, ground coverage ratio, inverter selection, power factor requirements, loading ratio, and cable sizing
  • Designing solar PV systems, incorporating 1-line diagrams and array layouts
  • Demonstrating structural, mechanical, and electrical design expertise to generate accurate, highly detailed construction drawings and documents using AutoCAD
  • Collaborating with project development and construction teams in the design, development, and construction of Solar PV systems

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  • 2+ years of experience in solar PV system design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, HelioScope, and solar performance modeling software
  • Demonstrated electrical, structural, and mechanical design skills, and the ability to generate accurate, highly detailed construction drawings
