About the role:

Our client, a leading web solutions company, is looking for a seasoned Backend Lead/Head to spearhead backend architecture, performance optimization, and agile development teams. This high-profile position involves overseeing backend innovation, mentoring junior engineers, and driving team growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of developers working on Node.JS-based applications.
  • Design and maintain scalable APIs and backend services.
  • Establish coding standards, best practices, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end features.
  • Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and refactoring.
  • Architect microservices and handle system integrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of backend development experience with 3+ years in Node.js.
  • Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar frameworks.
  • Deep knowledge of databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis).
  • Experience with containerized deployments (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, EKS) and scalable backend architecture.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with GraphQL, message queues, and caching strategies.
  • Background in fintech or stock/crypto market platforms.
  • Knowledge of test automation and secure coding practices.
