Job Title: Academic Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training sessions to primary science teachers, developing and adapting training materials, assessing trainee progress, ensuring the quality of training, and compiling detailed reports on training activities and outcomes.

About the Role:

The Academic Support Specialist will work in a field-based setting, contributing towards improving the quality of education in Pakistan and other developing contexts. This six-month contractual position aims to make a meaningful impact in the field of education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Session Planning & Delivery: Prepare and deliver daily training sessions to selected primary science teachers within specified timeframes.
• Training Materials: Develop and adapt materials and activities according to SLOs outlined in the approved training manual.
• Assessment: Conduct pre- and post-tests to assess trainee progress and training effectiveness.
• Training Quality: Ensure high-quality delivery of training across multiple clusters.
• Reporting: Compile and submit a detailed report on the training activities and outcomes.

Requirements:

• A Master's/BS degree in Botany or Zoology or Chemistry or Physics.
• At least three years of proven experience in teaching or training Science at the Primary/Secondary level.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple training clusters effectively.
• Candidates holding a degree in Education will have an added advantage.
