Job Description

Intercargo Logistics is a forward-thinking technology company focused on developing cutting-edge mobile solutions for a global user base. As we expand our mobile development team, we are seeking a skilled Android developer to help us build and optimize high-performance mobile applications. We are looking for someone to join our Islamabad-based team to further enhance our product offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Android applications.
  • Work closely with product and design teams to build and enhance Android features and functionality.
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate APIs and third-party services into mobile applications.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing Android applications for maximum speed and efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends and best practices.
  • Follow Android's best practices for app development and performance optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with Google Play Store guidelines and manage app deployment.
  • Proficiency in React Native as part of the Android development stack.
  • Solid understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and relevant frameworks.
  • Experience with Android UI design principles (e.g., Material Design).
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating third-party libraries.
  • Strong understanding of mobile app architecture, MVVM, and design patterns.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Knowledge of app debugging and optimization techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Android Jetpack components (e.g., Room, LiveData, Navigation).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools for Android (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Knowledge of Google Play Store publishing, release management, and app lifecycle.
  • Experience with Firebase, Push Notifications, and analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks for Android, including unit testing and UI testing (e.g., Espresso, JUnit).
  • Understanding of mobile security practices and best practices for app data protection.
