Senior Android Developer Role Overview

This role is open to an experienced and skilled Android Developer who has at least 3 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly applications for various business domains.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop innovative Android applications that meet business requirements and provide a seamless user experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into functional features and implement them effectively.
  • Ensure the highest level of performance, reliability, and scalability across different Android devices and OS versions.
  • Implement custom UI components and animations that adhere to the latest design guidelines.
  • Integrate applications with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries to deliver seamless functionality.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that can be easily understood and built upon by other team members.
  • Implement unit and integration tests to ensure robustness and reliability.
  • Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks efficiently.
  • Optimize applications for speed, responsiveness, and battery efficiency.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Android application development.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of the Android SDK, activity lifecycle, and fragments.
  • Experience with Jetpack components, including ViewModel, LiveData, and Room.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and networking libraries like Retrofit, OkHttp, or Volley.
  • Familiarity with WebSocket libraries and MQTT clients.
  • Proficiency in Git and Git-based workflows, including GitFlow.
  • Strong debugging skills in Android Studio.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks like JUnit and Espresso.
  • Experience with Material Design guidelines and responsive layouts.
  • Hands-on experience with ConstraintLayout, RecyclerView, and custom views.
  • Basic understanding of Firebase services or AWS.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Adaptability to work on multiple projects and domains.
