Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed mechanical designs for various projects, including plumbing, HVAC, and fire suppression systems.
  • Conduct thorough hydraulic calculations and design studies to ensure efficient system operation.
  • Evaluate technical submittals from vendors and manufacturers to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare and verify tender documents, including bills of quantities and engineer's cost estimates.
  • Maintain proficiency in relevant software tools, such as CAD, HAP, WaterGem, and Revit.
Main Accountabilities:
  • Lead a team of mechanical designers and engineers to deliver high-quality designs and solutions.
  • Oversee projects from concept through to construction stage, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Provide expert technical support to internal stakeholders and external partners.
Key Relationships:

Internal: Design Team, Supply Chain, Project Management Team

External: Authorities (Local District Administration, Bahria)

Requirements

We require a minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a lead role. A professional engineer certification is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and leadership abilities, are also required.

A bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering is necessary, with a focus on design and project management. Relevant industry experience and certifications will be considered an advantage.
