Optometrist Educator

This role is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students within the optometry and orthoptics programs.

We are seeking an experienced academic professional to join our team as a lecturer in optometry and orthoptics. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and community service. Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching and mentoring students within the optometry and orthoptics programs.
• Developing and maintaining course materials and assessments.
• Conducting research and publishing scholarly articles.
• Serving on departmental and university committees.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Deliver lectures and tutorials to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Develop and implement curriculum plans and assessments.
• Supervise student projects and field trips.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A PhD in optometry or a related field.
• Experience in teaching and research within academia.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
