Senior Accounting and Financial Reporting Specialist
This role is responsible for leading financial reporting and analysis, month-end and year-end closings, audit and compliance, taxation and regulatory filings, internal controls and processes, team leadership, budgeting and forecasting, and strategic financial decisions.
Key Requirements:- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Certification: CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification preferred.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in financial reporting and accounting.
- Skills: Advanced knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel, strong leadership and team management skills, excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, proven ability to manage audits, prepare complex reports, and meet deadlines.
- Prepare critical financial statements with precision and accuracy.
- Manage the reconciliation of key accounts such as bank, inventory, and fixed assets.
- Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of all taxes, including VAT, GST, and corporate taxes.
- Strengthen internal controls to ensure financial integrity and safeguard assets.
- Lead, mentor, and develop junior accountants, ensuring exceptional performance.
- Collaborate on the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts that influence business strategy.
- Work with senior leadership to provide financial insights that inform key business decisions.
