Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our Finance team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Finance and be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of accounting.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data creatively and innovatively. They will also possess excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

  • Record and post daily financial transactions in Microsoft Dynamics GP.
  • Process and post invoice batches within the sales module, ensuring proper deferral of invoices.
  • Review Accounts Receivable (AR) aging reports and collaborate with the Sales Director to follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Handle customer account credits, return memos, and cash receipts, applying payments accurately.

The selected candidate will also be responsible for preparing and issuing customer invoices, reconciling monthly invoice activity, and managing supporting documentation for customer invoices.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • A finalist or qualified professional accountant certification or bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Knowledge of multi-currency transactions.
  • Proven experience in an accounting role, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics GP.
