The Chief Technology Officer plays a pivotal role in driving the company's business mission forward through strategic development and deployment of its web presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with founders to identify opportunities and risks for delivering services as a web-based business, including competitive services, innovation opportunities, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles to business success.
  • Stay abreast of technology trends and evolving social behavior that may impact business success.
  • Evaluate and identify suitable technology platforms (including web application frameworks and deployment stacks) for delivering services.
  • Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for evaluation, development, and deployment of all web-based services.
Job Specification

The CTO will have a proven track record of successfully leading commercial SaaS product development, architecture, and infrastructure activities that deliver best-in-class product offerings and support.

  • Computer Science or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience leading and managing technology teams, commercial software preferred.
  • Expertise in PHP.
  • Fluency with management system concepts and practices for a SaaS product in a public cloud environment – preferably in Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with open source solutions and knowledge of Data Security, Secure Coding, Encryption, Multi-tenancy, Scalability, and High Availability.
  • Proven experience in Agile/Post-Agile development environments and ability to think and act strategically.
  • Excellent communication, inspiration, and motivation skills.
  • Experience working with diverse customer bases and willingness to expand knowledge via continuous learning.
  • Proven decision-making capabilities in real-world business problems and organizational development philosophies.
