Job Overview

The Renal Transplant Coordinator is a vital member of our team, responsible for coordinating patient care throughout the kidney transplant process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Management: Coordinate patient appointments, tests, and procedures to ensure timely documentation of patient information and medical records.
  • Education and Support: Educate patients and families about the kidney transplant process, including pre-transplant preparation, surgery, and post-transplant care. Provide support for potential donors and recipients during the live donor work-up.
Requirements:
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in medicine or nursing is required, with additional degrees in healthcare administration or related fields preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years of post-graduation experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in nephrology or transplant care. Experience as a transplant coordinator is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, knowledge of renal transplant procedures, organ procurement, and regulatory requirements, proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other healthcare technologies.
Work Environment:
  • The role typically involves working in a hospital or clinical setting, which may require occasional on-call duties or irregular hours.
