Job Title

A Teacher Trainer is responsible for delivering training to teachers on classroom management and other related areas.

  • This role involves extensive travel and staying at outstation points.
  • The selected candidate will be provided with free boarding, lodging, food, and travel allowance/train fare/daily allowance.
Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct training sessions on effective classroom management techniques.
  2. Develop and implement in-depth orientation programs for new employees.
  3. Serve as a resource person for staff on teacher-child interactions and program planning.
  4. Utilize centers effectively and maintain orderliness.
  5. Observe and train experienced staff on correct methods.
  6. Set goals for experienced teachers to enhance their performance.
  7. Attend to directors' forms for teachers requiring specific training.
  8. Arrange rooms as necessary with assistance from the Regional Director.
  9. Update the handbook for teachers, including curriculum guidelines and teaching methods.
  10. Directly supervise staff and schools, including weekly meetings with the Director of Curriculum.
  11. Order and distribute supplies and toys for classrooms.
  12. Communicate with floor directors about issues and concerns with staff and children.
  13. Inspect schools for maintenance and supplies quarterly.
  14. Stay updated on new ideas by attending trainings and share knowledge with the Director of Curriculum and staff.
  15. Supply individualized monthly meeting notes to schools before staff meetings, with a copy to the Director of Curriculum.
  16. Update libraries at schools monthly, including tracking missing books.
  17. Work with directors to ensure all schools follow the same procedures.
  18. Maintain the environment and proper postings.
Job Requirements

The yearly training includes Back to Basics, planning, circle time, progress reports, curriculum frameworks, and Teaching Strategies Gold.

The accountability to the Director of Curriculum includes:

  • Weekly meetings.
  • Submitting a timesheet with hours worked and locations.
  • Providing a projected work plan for the upcoming week by Friday.
  • Maintaining a floor notebook at every site, discussing strengths and weaknesses with the Director of Curriculum.

The outcome of having a full-time teacher trainer would be:

  • A smoother running of each classroom.
  • Continual improvement of all staff.
  • A smoother operation of the school as a whole.
  • New staff who know what to do.
  • Seasoned staff who are continually improving.

Collaborate with floor directors to assess each staff member and make improvement plans. Floor directors will notify you (with a form) of teachers who they think need additional training. When you suggest a change in a teacher's methods, jot it down (sparingly) and provide a copy to the Floor Director.
