Senior Contract Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for all contract matters.
  2. Ensure contractor's performance meets contractual obligations.
  3. Ensure employer performs according to contract terms.
  4. Advise PM/SM to ensure all instructions from Engineer and/or Employer's staff are communicated and documented immediately.
  5. Notify engineer and employer of work execution and major events under the contract.
  6. Prepare claims and variation orders following contract provisions and dispute resolution procedures.
  7. Review progress, advise PM/SM on delays, and recommend improvements.
  8. Compare tender and construction drawings to assess impacts of contractual changes.
  9. Negotiate agreements with subcontractors as required.
  10. Handle contract matters related to subcontracted work, including instructions and payment certifications.
  11. Prepare and submit claims for extension of time and settle disputes.
  12. Issue contractual notices for events leading to extensions or additional costs.
  13. Create a safe working environment, manage risks, and ensure QHSE policy compliance.
