Decentralized Finance Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Back End Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our decentralized financial products and experiences. This role requires technical expertise in DeFi protocols, smart contract development, and blockchain infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has prior experience in DeFi protocol development, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for improving system performance and security. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems and smart contracts that support our diverse portfolio of DeFi products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cloud-based solutions focusing on high availability, scalability, and reliability on AWS.
  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers, front-end developers, and smart contract developers to build seamless and efficient solutions for game teams and other internal stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot and debug backend issues, ensuring the smooth operation and performance of systems, addressing bugs, and optimizing performance.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide feedback to peers, and contribute to the establishment and improvement of best practices across the team.
  • Continuously improve the codebase through refactoring, optimization, and adopting modern practices to ensure high performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Monitor and ensure the availability and performance of backend systems through proactive analysis and alerting.

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of experience in this type of role
  • Strong experience in backend development, working with languages such as Node.js and Typescript.
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and working with microservices architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platforms, particularly in designing scalable and reliable infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with database technologies (MySQL, Postgres) and caching mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing backend systems for performance and scalability.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., GitLab) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in the gaming industry or working with real-time systems.
  • Knowledge of web3, blockchain technologies, or decentralized applications (dApps).
