Expert Software Developers design and build large-scale software systems that meet business needs. This is a leadership role, requiring technical expertise in Node.js, AWS, and frontend frameworks.

About the Role
  • We're looking for a skilled engineer to lead our software development team and oversee the implementation of complex projects.

This job involves hands-on work, guiding senior engineers, and ensuring system reliability. The ideal candidate will have experience with scalable solutions, able to handle high traffic without rewriting code.

The responsibilities include:

  1. Handling complex tasks directly and providing guidance to senior engineers on problem-solving strategies.
  2. Serving as the go-to expert for solving team issues and improving overall efficiency.
  3. Designing and implementing solution-based components for the software team, such as message-based communication architecture.
  4. Developing software features within the system, including processing systems capable of running multiple jobs in parallel.
  5. Maintaining scalable solutions that can handle increased traffic without rewrites.
  6. Leading teams of resources in production environments for extended periods, contributing directly to the codebase.
  7. Communicating fluently in English, explaining complex technical issues clearly.
  8. Possessing business acumen to understand both technical and business needs, architecting solutions to drive company growth.
  9. Working within a 4-hour overlap with the MST timezone, flexibility for meetings.
  10. Providing on-call production support, troubleshooting, debugging, and coordinating with DevOps.
  11. Collaborating with clients to establish processes, architecture, and software backlog.

We require:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of production-level experience in Software Development, focusing on backend (Node.js, Express.js, Nest.js) and frontend (React.js, Next.js), with architecture design skills.
  • Expertise in Node.js with at least 10+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency in AWS, DocumentDB or MongoDB, SQL databases, cache systems, GIT, containers, Linux/command shells, scripting, and regular expressions.
