Job Title: Area Operations Manager

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the efficient management and expansion of natural gas distribution activities within a designated service area.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the growth and development of operations in the assigned area, with a focus on future expansion into new localities.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to operational teams to ensure they meet customer performance expectations and company objectives.
  • Serve as a business manager responsible for maintaining positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and industry partners.
  • Implement safe work practices and ensure compliance with company safety programs throughout the area of responsibility.
  • Lead designated management teams and oversee multiple construction projects, including planning, implementation, delivery, and reporting.
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex problems, assisting in root cause assessment and resolution.
  • Maintain approved organizational structures and staffing levels to ensure the ability of the SBU to perform all required functions.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Analyze options for system expansion within available resources and organizational goals to meet customer needs.
  • Implement initiatives to minimize Unaccounted for Gas (UFG) through approved plans.
  • Ensure adoption of company vision, culture, and performance standards across all divisional levels.
  • Set performance targets and assume overall responsibility for safety, licensing, quality, schedule compliance, and working within project budgets.
