Key Responsibilities:

The Director of Operations and Compliance will be responsible for Client Management and Compliance of the project with all relevant policies, standards, and client expectations. This includes delivering the project effectively, establishing strong relationship management with the British High Commission, and overseeing compliance with internal processes.

The incumbent will also oversee risk & crisis management, involving proactive risk identification, mitigation planning, continuous monitoring, and effective crisis response to safeguard project objectives, beneficiary needs, and stakeholder interests.

The Director will ensure the programme aligns with overall organisational goals and policies and quality assurance of client-facing project documents (e.g., reporting) to ensure compliance with the MoU and broader corporate needs.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A high level of experience working with the British High Commission Pakistan.
  2. Significant leadership experience on large-scale donor-funded programmes.
  3. Demonstrable donor management skills.
  4. Excellent financial literacy and ability to interrogate financial reporting to ensure compliance with standards.
  5. Experience of managing client audits on large-scale donor-funded projects.
  6. Experience of risk management on large-scale programmes in South Punjab and Kyber Pakhtunkhwa.
  7. A strong understanding of British Council policies in relation to donor-funded projects.
