Estimating Specialist

  • A highly skilled estimating specialist is required to join our team as a carton packaging estimator.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, accuracy in cost projections, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel to prepare and manage estimates effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for folding carton packaging projects by analyzing packaging specifications, customer drawings, and production capabilities.
  • Collaborate with sales, production, and design teams to determine job scope and manufacturing requirements, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Utilize historical cost data and supplier pricing to prepare quotes that meet customer expectations and drive business growth.
  • Maintain and update pricing databases and Excel-based estimate sheets to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support customer inquiries with technical and cost-related input, providing exceptional service and building strong relationships.
  • Monitor job costing performance to refine future estimations and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Recommend cost-saving alternatives in materials or production processes when applicable, driving business efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in estimating folding carton packaging projects with a track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Working knowledge of printing processes, including offset printing and color matching.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
