Job Summary

The Resident Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the on-site execution of construction activities, ensuring adherence to approved designs, quality standards, timelines, and budgetary requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Project Supervision:
  • Oversee day-to-day construction operations on-site, ensuring efficient execution in compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Contract Management:
  • Implement and monitor contract terms and project scope, ensuring timely completion and certification of works.
  • Quality Control:
  • Enforce quality assurance procedures, conduct material inspections, and verify workmanship to ensure compliance with quality benchmarks.
  • Schedule Monitoring:
  • Track construction progress against the baseline schedule, identify potential delays, and propose mitigation measures to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
  • Ensure HSE policies and legal compliance on-site, conducting regular safety audits and promoting a culture of safety and proactive risk management.
  • Communication & Coordination:
  • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, facilitating site meetings, resolving coordination issues, and preparing progress reports.
  • Issue Resolution:
  • Proactively address technical challenges, resolve conflicts between stakeholders, and manage unforeseen site conditions and deviations.
  • Documentation & Records Management:
  • Maintain organized records of site instructions, approvals, inspections, and correspondence, supporting audit and compliance checks.
  • Commissioning & Handover:
  • Supervise final testing, inspection, and commissioning of systems, verifying completion of punch list items and rectifying deficiencies.
