The role of a Senior Clinical Nurse Manager is to provide clinical leadership and management in the Inpatient area, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing day-to-day management support to supervisors and ensuring administrative tasks are completed efficiently.
- Teaching and mentoring new staff members to ensure quality care delivery to patients.
- Collaborating with consultants to discuss patient care issues and implement improvements.
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care quality.
- Assessing patient care needs and acuity trends, planning unit operations, making staffing arrangements, and ensuring necessary resources are available.
- Proposing initiatives for Quality Improvement in Nursing Practice (QINP) and implementing changes in current procedures.
- A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited school and a valid PNC license.
- American Health Association (AHA) certification in BLS and ACLS, preferably with Instructor post-basic course in at least one clinical specialty.
- At least three years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in critical care areas.
- In-depth knowledge of nursing policies and processes.
- Good interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills.
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
