Senior Auditor

This is a leadership position that involves overseeing and directing audit engagements. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the audit team in the field, managing budgets, and ensuring the completion of audits within agreed timescales.

1. Play a key role in all audit engagements, providing guidance and direction to the audit team.
2. Draw initial conclusions on client queries, taking into account both commercial concerns and technical accuracy.
3. Perform fieldwork on assigned clients, assisting with the setting of budgets and pricing, scheduling audits, selecting staff and assigning workloads, developing the audit strategy within the company's methodology, and using technology tools.
4. Identify issues for reporting in the management letter and other communications with stakeholders, and draft the final documents for review.
5. Budget time allocation to assignments and explain variances from budget and collect cash on time.
6. Lead and manage the audit team in the field on large assignments.
7. Supply or attend briefings which are clearly understood on all assignments.
8. Ensure completion of audits/projects within agreed timescales and budgets.
