Academic Faculty Role

The position involves teaching, mentoring and instruction to undergraduate and graduate dental hygiene students in all learning environments.

This is a full-time faculty role that will serve as part of a progressive team who will provide high-quality academic services.

  • The successful candidate will be involved in curriculum development, implementation and evaluation; didactic instruction, coordination in the clinical section and research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum management experience in an educational setting
  • Team leadership in academic, research and clinical settings
  • Sound knowledge of dental hygiene and ability to integrate theory into practice
  • Demonstrate clinical competence as a professional dental hygienist and an effective role model
  • Excellent teaching skills & knowledge of new teaching methodologies and practices
  • Demonstrated excellence in and commitment to teaching, research and clinical practice
  • Consistent senior authorship of investigative research papers in reputable peer-reviewed journals in the field.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Masters or doctoral degree in dental hygiene or related field
  • Proven track record of teaching and academic leadership
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Clinical competence as a professional dental hygienist
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development and implementation
