Responsibilities & Duties

  1. Configure, manage, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair computer networks, workstations, server systems, supporting hardware/software, user accounts, and computer/telephone rooms.
  2. Train users in proper use and security of all systems.
  3. Troubleshoot technical problems/issues related to computer hardware/software/LAN and WAN/internet. Respond to program error messages.
  4. Provide network communications support and guidance.
  5. Refer major problems to vendors.
  6. Analyze and implement process improvements.
  7. Consult with others to assess computing needs and system requirements.
  8. Inspect, test, and diagnose computer equipment/systems.
  9. Plan and coordinate information technology-related equipment installations and system enhancements.
  10. Implement network security measures.
  11. Provide end-user support for all applications.
  12. Manage disk space for the entire network.
  13. Maintain inventory of technological devices.
  14. Enter commands on computers and equipment.
  15. Ensure CCTV backup tapes are stored securely.
  16. Perform tasks as directed by the line manager.
