Job Title: Accountant Professional

We are seeking an ambitious Accountant Professional to join our team.

About the Job:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating and implementing administrative and financial policies and procedures.
  • They will conduct performance appraisals of personnel and probation completion sessions related to the administration department.
  • Responsibilities include initiating disciplinary actions through investigation and resolving any issues or grievances among team members or personnel of the administration staff.
  • The job holder will manage and supervise all resources and functions of all departments related to finance.
  • Preparation of reports and analysis based on provided data is a key responsibility.
  • Assistance in the preparation of the cash book and bank book is also required.
  • Supporting in the preparation of salaries, monthly/yearly closings, and reviewing expenses, payroll records, etc., as assigned are part of the job.
  • Communication with bank personnel on a daily basis and supervising day-to-day office administrative activities are necessary.
  • Implementing policies and procedures for lower staff to ensure fair usage of company assets, code of ethics, and company policies is crucial.
  • Ensuring quality work of office boys regarding finance and overseeing security staff to ensure the safety of office stock and assets are key responsibilities.
  • Handling all relevant external affairs of the company and managing daily routine purchasing for the company are essential tasks.
  • Updating financial data in databases to ensure accuracy and availability when needed and performing any additional duties as assigned by the manager are also part of the job.
Requirements:
  • An ACCA Student with at least 9 papers passed, an ACCA finalist, or ACCA part-qualified is ideal.
  • Experience in the relevant field in well-reputed organizations is advantageous.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • A business graduate in finance or related fields from an accredited university is required.
  • Active pursuit of ACCA qualification is necessary.
  • Brief knowledge of QuickBooks, bookkeeping, and double entry is essential.
  • Good academic and conceptual understanding of finance functions, concepts, and theories is required.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned projects and tasks is crucial.
  • Ability to work in a team environment is also essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Self-learning and self-starter abilities are required.
  • Effective time utilization is essential.
