This is a short-term grant-funded contractual position as a Driver within a reputable organization. The role involves transporting staff, patients, office supplies, and laboratory specimens safely and efficiently.

Schedule and Work Environment

The position requires flexibility in terms of working hours and may involve working at various locations, including offices, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities
  • safely operate assigned vehicles to transport staff, patients, office supplies, and laboratory specimens
  • maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned vehicles, both inside and outside
  • keep accurate and up-to-date trip sheets, transportation logs, and vehicle maintenance records
  • perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks as required and coordinate major maintenance with management
  • respond promptly to accidents or medical emergencies and provide first aid when necessary
  • safely handle goods and ensure they are delivered to the assigned locations during transportation
  • carry out daily inspections of vehicles and maintain accurate transportation logs
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • a valid and current driving license
  • at least one year of relevant driving experience
  • good interpersonal skills with a courteous nature
  • a self-motivated and honest approach to work
  • a strong commitment to the service's aims and objectives
