
Chief Financial Operations Specialist

As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and reliability of our financial records. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and analyzing accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
You will be responsible for preparing ACEL budgets and implementing budgetary controls, as well as assisting the Accounts Manager in preparing and reviewing annual and periodic budgets. You will also provide bi-weekly reports on budget reviews, highlighting unfavorable variances.
Your tasks will also include ensuring the accuracy and reliability of accounting records and reports within our internal system, developing and implementing accounting policies to keep us up-to-date with changing trends and needs, and assisting with payroll completion.
In addition, you will prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping purposes, guide team members in completing day-to-day and periodic tasks related to their jobs, and maintain a close but authorized link with team members, resolving their work-related issues.
You will also identify gaps in operational pricing and incentive/commission structures and provide recommendations, prepare and submit quarterly reports on the profitability of different ACEL products, and provide monthly and weekly reports to the Manager regarding ongoing tasks or specified reporting requirements.
Furthermore, you will attend managerial meetings and contribute suggestions for policy-making where necessary, assess Team Training Needs and devise a plan for training arrangements for interdepartmental trainings, follow-up with the Team in case of non-responsive working and address issues, reporting to the Manager otherwise.
You will report any internal or external hindrances, issues, or urgencies affecting department working to the Manager and Finance Head as required, document cases warranting disciplinary warnings, deal with escalated queries from country managers and agents, and facilitate authorized routine expense payouts in the absence of the Accounts Manager.
Last but not least, you will develop a close working relationship and coordination with managers of different departments to ensure that Accounts and Finance activities complement those of other departments for better achievement of ACEL goals and objectives, extend facilitation during internal and external audits by communicating requirements and coordinating efforts, and perform other duties and projects assigned.

• Familiarity with accounting software.
• Preference given to candidates with experience in Articleship from an audit firm.
