Truck Dispatcher Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to coordinate and manage daily truck shipments and driver schedules. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact between drivers, clients, and logistics teams—ensuring timely deliveries, optimizing routes, and maintaining high levels of communication and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and multitasking skills, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Scheduling and dispatching drivers to appropriate routes based on customer needs, load requirements, and delivery timelines.
  • Monitoring truck locations using GPS and tracking software to ensure on-time performance.
  • Communicating effectively with drivers, addressing any delays, emergencies, or issues that arise on the road.
  • Maintaining accurate records of dispatch details, delivery confirmations, and fuel usage.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and ensuring their delivery expectations are met.
  • Coordinating with mechanics and fleet managers regarding vehicle maintenance and inspections.
  • Ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Additionally, familiarity with dispatch software and ability to remain calm and effective under pressure is essential.
