Library Professional Role

This role is responsible for supporting the academic programs by providing exceptional library services.

  • Manage and organize library resources, including books, journals, and digital materials
  • Create and maintain a library cataloging system for efficient retrieval of materials
  • Assist students and faculty members in locating and accessing required resources
  • Provide guidance to library users on utilizing available technology for research purposes
  • Develop and deliver training programs for library users to enhance their information literacy skills
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the library premises and equipment
  • Collaborate with faculty members to curate relevant resources for academic programs
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in library sciences and information technology
  • Conduct regular assessments of library services and identify areas for improvement
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies and standards related to library operations

The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational and time management skills, strong knowledge of library management systems, proficiency in using digital tools, and good interpersonal and communication skills.
