Accounts Receivable Associate Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Associate to manage customer payments, transactions, and daily email correspondence.

About the Role:

This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional to utilize their accounting skills in a fast-paced environment. As an Accounts Receivable Associate, you will be responsible for verifying, posting, and recording customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.

  • Verify, post, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
  • Maintain and update customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
  • Manage daily email correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identify delinquent accounts, and contact delinquent accountholders to request payment.
  • Download and review reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
  • Work in MS NAVISION, posting payments to invoices, creating invoices for monthly storage, COD payments, etc.
  • Conduct regular email correspondence with customers on discrepancies, unpaid or short paid past-due amounts with the assistance of the invoicing department.
  • Assist Accounting Manager in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
  • Create and update Google Docs on daily payments, monthly storage invoices, etc.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ACCA or related degree in Accounting and Finance.
  • At least two years of related experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other accounting software programs.
  • Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
