Job Opportunity

Assembly Industries seeks a skilled professional to contribute to our internal orchestration platform, a mission-critical system powering AI-enabled operations across various products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build the backend orchestration platform for automation workflows.
  • Lead Java-based microservices development for task execution, state management, and orchestration logic.
  • Model and manage NoSQL document databases for tracking task states and metadata.
  • Define internal API contracts and services for modular orchestration logic and integration with LLMs or external APIs.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience in system design and distributed architecture.
  • Strong proficiency in Java for scalable microservices.
  • Experience with NoSQL document databases.
  • Distributed systems patterns knowledge.

This role requires collaboration with Engineering, Product, and Solution Enablement teams to expose automation capabilities as APIs and internal services.

Preferred Skills
  • Automation platforms (Zapier, Make, n8n).
  • Python scripting and API-based integrations.
  • LLM architectures, embedding systems, and prompt engineering techniques.
  • Agent frameworks like LangChain, CrewAI.
