Legal Counsel Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to assist with general legal tasks. This role provides support to senior legal staff on disputes and contract drafting, contributing to the management of intellectual property and compliance with corporate governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in drafting and negotiating contracts, focusing on compliance with local and international laws.
  • Provide research on regulatory changes related to data privacy, intellectual property, and corporate law.
  • Support pre-litigation dispute management, preparing documentation and liaising with external counsel.
  • Assist in protecting and enforcing the company's intellectual property rights.
  • Contribute to developing corporate governance policies and ensuring compliance across departments.
  • Conduct basic legal risk assessments and present findings to senior legal staff for decision-making.
  • Foster communication with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and business partners.
Requirements:
  • LLB / LLM degree with 2+ years of transaction/corporate experience (1 year of litigation experience with a law firm is preferred).
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Track record of drafting, reviewing, and revising agreements coupled with outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competent in legal research.
  • Ability to work during the US shift.
