Job Title: Emergency Services Coordinator

The Department of Emergency Services at a reputable tertiary healthcare organization offers a multidisciplinary health approach under one roof. Healthcare professionals from different specialties work together to provide effective continuum of care for patients requiring additional consultation.

Responsibilities:
  • Visit patients daily to ensure their comfort and satisfaction with services provided.
  • Follow up on patient queries and complaints, entering them timely into the system and providing feedback to concerned staff.
  • Maintain strong liaison with relevant departments and coordinate services effectively.
  • Coordinate equipment procurement and construction/maintenance activities with the purchase department.
  • Supervise patient admissions, transfers, and coordinate smooth processing within emergency units.
  • Manage unit inventory with head nurses and oversee disposal/write-off of inventory items.
  • Conduct studies on service issues by collecting and analyzing data, sharing recommendations for improvement with management.
  • Ensure timely completion of special projects and assignments while following applicable policies and protocols.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from a recognized institution.
  • At least two years of related experience in a reputable healthcare setting.
  • Good technical skills and ability to interact with employees, physicians, and medical records users.
  • Proficiency in MS Office package and computer applications.
  • Ability to gather data and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and multi-task, meeting stringent deadlines.
  • Williness to work in shifts as needed.
