Lead Medical Information Strategist

The position of Lead Medical Information Strategist has become available at our esteemed organization.

This role will play a pivotal part in guiding the implementation and optimization of medical information technology systems across various clinical settings. The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare professionals, EHR teams, and IT departments to drive innovation and improve patient care.

About the Role

The Lead Medical Information Strategist will be responsible for:

  1. Evaluating the impact of IT services on clinical processes and promoting the strategic use of technology to enhance patient care and services.
  2. Providing leadership in planning, developing, and implementing clinical information technology systems that align with organizational goals.
  3. Ensuring effective user support and education for EHR system adoption.

This includes ensuring continuous education and involvement of physicians, nurses, and other health professionals, as well as providing oversight on data quality, integrity, and security.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electronic health information systems, experience in leadership roles, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in clinical settings is required, with at least 3 years in leadership, IT management, or clinical informatics.

Requirements
  • MBBS/MScN degree or equivalent with an additional Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Clinical Informatics, or Computer Science.
  • Certification in Clinical Informatics is preferred.
  • Experience with post-EHR implementation benefit realization and virtual care systems is an advantage.
