About This Role

This position oversees machinery and equipment maintenance in a workshop setting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Maintenance Management: Manage all activities related to machinery and equipment maintenance, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards for optimized performance.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Ensure that repair and maintenance activities meet acceptable service levels at all times, maintaining user satisfaction and equipment reliability.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Workshop Efficiency: Organize and manage the optimal use of tools, materials, and resources within the workshop, maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste.
  • Procedure Adherence: Maintain consistency and quality in workshop operations by ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Schedule and plan preventive maintenance programs for machinery, equipment, and vehicles, maintaining detailed records for compliance and future reference.
  • Cost Optimization: Conduct analysis of maintenance records to identify areas for cost reduction, recommending resource allocation strategies to management.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Arrange submission of estimates for repair and maintenance work following established procedures, ensuring accurate budgeting and cost control.
  • Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect and calibrate all workshop equipment and tools to maintain accuracy and reliability in repair and maintenance activities.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the quality of work performed by staff through regular checks, identifying areas for improvement and addressing repeat repairs and breakdowns.
  • Inventory Management: Optimize component and material stock levels for repair and maintenance activities, minimizing the risk of obsolete inventory and ensuring timely availability of required resources.
  • Spare Parts Management: Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and consumables required for equipment maintenance, ensuring adequate stock availability to support maintenance activities.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and workflow optimization in the workshop, implementing measures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Liaison with Suppliers: Liaise with external suppliers to procure spare parts and equipment for workshop operations, negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
  • Progress Reporting: Ensure preparation and submission of periodic progress reports for workshop activities to management, providing insights into performance and areas for improvement.
