Job Title: Credentialing Specialist

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to oversee administrative functions related to credentialing within our health facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and validating files, monitoring the expiry of certifications across the organization, and collaborating with various departments to ensure all staff members possess the required accreditations throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify discrepancies in information and conduct follow-ups
  • Presentation of applications to the facility's Committee
  • Assist customers with credentialing inquiries
  • Respond to health plan provider inquiries
  • Capture primary source documentation in computer databases
  • Ensure data is backed up
  • Compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • Proven work experience as a Credentialing Specialist or similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Proficient touch-typing skills
  • Ability to focus for extended periods
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Credentialing Specialist
