Director of Risk Management and Insurance

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our risk management and insurance efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective risk response strategies to mitigate potential losses and ensure the company's financial stability.
Candidates should have a strong background in finance, accounting, or business administration, with at least 10 years of experience in relevant fields. Alternatively, candidates with ACCA or CA/ACMA certifications and 6-8 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
Main Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing risk response strategies to mitigate potential losses and ensure financial stability.
- Managing overall risk management operations, including identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks.
- Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure effective risk management practices.
- Providing support and guidance to personnel on risk-related matters.
- Reviewing and recommending insurance policies to ensure they adequately cover the company's needs.
- Overseeing the entire risk management process, including liaison with external experts and management of queries.
- Reviewing risk management data before sending it to responsible parties.
- Organizing accounting and audit of risk-related activities, reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaising with procurement and legal departments on consultant appointments and contract negotiations.
- Participating in strategic planning and decision-making processes to ensure alignment with company goals.
