Senior Web Developer for E-commerce Platforms

Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Web Developer to assist in the design, development, and maintenance of e-commerce websites. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, plugins, and custom development.

You will work closely with our team to deliver visually appealing, functional, and user-friendly websites that meet client requirements.
Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins based on client needs.
  2. Optimize websites for performance, speed, and search engine optimization.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to websites.
  4. Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to ensure seamless project execution.
  5. Ensure websites are responsive, cross-browser compatible, and mobile-friendly.
  6. Implement security best practices to protect websites from vulnerabilities.
  7. Provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing websites.
  8. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a Senior Web Developer (portfolio or examples of previous work required).
  2. Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  3. Strong understanding of WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
  4. Experience with page builders and custom theme development.
  5. Knowledge of SEO best practices and website performance optimization.
  6. Familiarity with version control systems.
  7. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  9. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a remote team.
Preferred Skills:
  1. Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce platforms.
  2. Knowledge of REST API and third-party integrations.
  3. Familiarity with CSS preprocessors.
  4. Understanding of web accessibility standards.
