Job Summary:

The Tax Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely compliance with tax laws and regulations.

This role involves complex calculations of tax liabilities, supporting audits, providing advisory services on tax planning, and staying up-to-date with current tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns in accordance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Maintain precise tax records and documentation for internal and external audits, including vendor/customer transactions.
  • Ensure timely payment of income tax, sales tax, withholding tax, and other statutory obligations.
  • Conduct regular tax reconciliations and prepare reports for management review, highlighting potential impacts of changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, advising management on potential impacts and providing support during tax audits and coordinating with external auditors/authorities.
  • Develop tax strategies to minimize tax liability and ensure cost efficiency, collaborating with government departments, tax consultants, and legal advisors as needed.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by incorporating tax considerations, liaising with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field (Master's preferred), with professional certification such as CA Inter, ACCA, ICMA, or equivalent an advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in taxation and accounting, with strong knowledge of local and international tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting/tax software and MS Office, with expertise in Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

  • Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial data, with a proactive approach towards tax planning and advisory.
