Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

About the Job:

This is a key role that involves managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The successful candidate will have expertise in financial management, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and payments.
  • Prepare weekly 1099 workings for contractors and ensure timely payments.
  • Daily review of hours worked from ADP system and obtain approval from managers.
  • Compile accurate headcount numbers, including heads paid via 1099 and independent contractors.
  • Deal with vendors to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoices.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting matters, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Work closely with warehouse managers to optimize resource utilization and reduce waste.
  • Support warehouse managers in selecting cost-effective vendors.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced level expertise in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
  • Member of any professional accounting body (ACCA/ICAP/ICAEW/CIMA/ICMAP).
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics Navision.
